Nova is a Discord bot and web dashboard. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short and plain.
What we collect
- Discord IDs and names of servers, channels, roles and members the bot works with, so features like tickets, levels and moderation can work.
- Server settings you choose on the dashboard.
- Activity the features need: moderation cases, ticket transcripts, XP and message counts, economy balances, giveaway entries, poll votes, reviews, suggestions, birthdays, invite tracking and reminders.
- Message content is read as it arrives to run AutoMod, levels, counting, custom commands and Ask Nova. We don't store message content, except ticket transcripts, AutoMod case reasons, edited/deleted messages posted to a server's own log channel, and questions asked to Ask Nova.
- When you log in to the dashboard we get your Discord username, avatar and the list of servers you're in (to show which ones you can manage). We don't get your email or password.
- Custom bot tokens are stored encrypted and never shown to anyone.
Ask Nova (AI)
Questions asked to Ask Nova are sent to Google's Gemini service with the server's public information and knowledge so it can answer. Google's own terms apply to that processing. Recent questions are kept so server admins can see them.
Who can see it
Server data is visible to that server's admins and staff on the dashboard. We don't sell data or share it with anyone else, apart from Discord and Google as described above.
How long we keep it
Data is kept while the bot is in your server. If the bot is removed, a server owner can ask us to delete that server's data.
Your choices
- Server owners can switch off any module or command at any time.
- Anyone can ask for their data to be deleted by contacting us in our support server.
